Resume & Cover Letter Assistance
Qualified volunteers & staff are available in the Library's Job & Career Education Center to help you create a strong resume and cover letter so you can land that all important interview. In addition to regular printing at 25˘ per page, the department has white and ivory resume paper and matching envelopes available for 35˘ per page. Space is limited, so please call 412-622-3133 to schedule a half-hour appointment. Appointments are available at no cost.
Do you need help preparing for an important interview? Schedule an appointment for a mock interview and with constructive feedback. Video-recorded and phone interviews are also available by request. Registration is required.
Special Speaker Events
The Job & Career Education Center often hosts special speaking events featuring local career consultants, such as Karen Litzinger and Carol Silvis. Past speaking events have included talks on topics such as Job Hunting After 50, Choosing the Best Career for Your Personality Type, and Tips for Women Returning to the Work Force.
