Kickoff Event for Super Science @ Your Library

On Saturday, December 5th, several library branches held a kickoff event for the youth services Super Science @ Your Library program. The event was held at Lawrenceville, Beechview and Hazelwood. Children and their parents were able to participate in hands-on inquiry based science activities. Participants learned about simple machines, worm composting, DNA and watersheds. Organizations from the community attended, including the Carnegie Science Center, Phipps Conservatory, PA Resources Council, and Dr. Cynthia Morton from the Carnegie Museum of Natural History.
