Lawrenceville Crafting Circle : Hand-Dying / Upholstery Mash-Up!

Wednesday, December 11, 2013
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Crafting circle is open to all creators, from knitters to jewelry makers. The beginning of each session will feature a short presentation from a local crafter. Bring a project to work on and enjoy snacks and conversation with other crafters!

Have you ever wanted to save the style of your dining room chairs, but didn’t know where to start? Textile designer Amber Coppings and Millvale-based upholsterer Mark Drummond have the answers! Amber will demonstrate how to naturally dye fabrics and Mark will use Amber’s fabric to upholster a dining seat. Bring scrap fabric and a loose dining seat if you’d like to follow along.

Experts wanted! Would you like to demonstrate your skill or show-off your work? We’re looking for local crafters willing to give a 30-minute presentation to the Lawrenceville Crafting Circle. Contact Angela or Karen at CLP – Lawrenceville (412-682-3668, Lawrenceville@carnegielibrary.org) for more information.
