An Evening with Pico Iyer
Monday, April 1, 2013
6:00 PM
- 7:30 PM
Join us for an informal conversation with Pico Iyer. Travel writer for Time Magazine since 1986, prolific novelist and closest journalist to the 14th Dalai Lama, Iyer is also a regular contributor to Harper's, The New York Review of Books and The New York Times. In a Q-and-A facilitated by Ashley Karlin, a PhD Candidate in Rhetoric at Carnegie Mellon, he will be fielding questions about his travels with the Dalai Lama, visits with Leonard Cohen in a mountaintop retreat and his own relationship with stillness, silence and connection in this bustling, burgeoning global culture of the 21st century.
