Booked for Lunch: Persepolis

Saturday, April 20, 2013
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM

Teens, bring some snacks or a lunch and join us to discuss Persepolis, a memoir about growing up in Iran, by Marjane Satrapi. Told in comic form, Satrapi’s drawings shows us her family’s life during the overthrow of the Shah’s regime, the triumph of the Islamic Revolution, and the devastating effects of war with Iraq. This funny and heartbreaking story of growing up will grab your attention and keep you reading. Need help finding the book? Ask a librarian!
