Where do eager, energetic and enthusiastic board members come from? How do you locate, interest and engage them? Attend this lively session and learn how to build and constantly nurture a passionately committed, highly effective and thoroughly engaged board of directors.

• Your Best Board Meeting Ever!
Ever experienced a “bored” meeting? Unsure about how committees interact with the full board? Considering alternatives to Robert’s Rules of Order? Well, look no further for a variety of imaginative ideas to enliven ANY board meeting. We’ll cover: agenda development, minutes and ways to turn every board meeting into a strategy workshop!

The speaker will be Michael Kumer, founder and owner of Boards MTO (Made to Order), a boutique consulting firm helping community benefit boards attain excellence in all areas of governance. An exceptional facilitator, he is often called upon to help organizations achieve consensus. Michael previously served as the Executive Director of Duquesne University’s Nonprofit Leadership Institute and Associate Dean of the School of Leadership and Professional Advancement. Additionally, Michael has benefitted from personal experience as a board or advisory council member of numerous prestigious organizations. He currently serves on the board of PANO, the Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations.

The fee to attend this program is $20 per person, which can be paid at the door. Registration is required by calling the Nonprofit Resource Center at 412-622-6277.
