Express your support for the Library!
The value a public library brings to its community is immeasurable. It's a place where learning begins, imagination is encouraged and memories are created. It's there when you need it most: when you need answers and information.
Our value may be immeasurable-but unfortunately the costs of running the Library do add up.
Your voice is needed to ensure that the Library remains strong.
Help to protect the Library by sending a letter or an email Governor Tom Corbett along with your state senator and state representative to urge support for the three-pronged request for the 2014-15 State Budget:
- • Public Library Subsidy: $54.507 million (an increase of $1 million over current funding)
- • Library Access: $5.764 million (an increase of $2.7 million over current funding)
- • Library Services for the Visually Impaired and Disabled: $3.967 million ($1.4 million over current funding)
If you choose to send an email, it is just a click away. You can send the message as drafted or personalize it in any way you'd like.
