This spring, Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh launched an exciting campaign to encourage Library lovers to support the important services that the Library makes available to all residents of our community.
The Perfect Match campaign featured a $75,000 pool of matching funds donated by the Library's Board of Trustees and a small group of leadership donors. All gifts that were given to support the day-to-day operations of the Library between April 15 and May 31 were matched on a pro-rated basis. Library supporters at all levels stepped forward and contributed. They donated in their neighborhood libraries, online via the Library's website, by mail, by purchasing After Hours @ the Library tickets and during a special Library Day of Giving on May 31 through The Pittsburgh Foundation's PittsburghGives website.
Library supporters enthusiastically contributed to the campaign, which raised $259,015.59 to fund the Library!
"We are so pleased with the generous response to The Perfect Match campaign," said Mary Frances Cooper, President and Director. "We couldn't do what we do for the community without the help of our supporters. Strong public support helps us to continue to provide educational resources, reading for enjoyment, job searches, family fun, a place to gather, access to computers and technology and so much more!"
Thank you for your support! Your gifts through The Perfect Match are being put to work.
