The Library has received a $250,000 matching grant from an anonymous donor toward the purchase of compact shelving and additional materials needed to protect the Library's Heritage Collection. The 150,000 volume collection, which includes rare treasures that embody the heritage of Western Pennsylvania, the nation and beyond, moved from the Library's Allegheny Depository to its new home at CLP - East Liberty.
We have met the $250,000 milestone and achieved 100% of the matching funds.
You can still donate to the Libraries for LIFE Heritage Collection project at CLP - East Liberty to fund the ongoing cost of maintaining and preserving the collection.
